RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Provide USGAAP/IFRS closing results including financial analysis and ultimate methodology and to meet team and department goals.
- Provide timely and high-quality USGAAP/IFRS valuation results. Continue to drive further efficiency and quality in closure process.
- Periodically review process and quality to further drive efficiency and quality.
- Review the relevant actuarial materials before submitting to the auditors.
- Actively monitoring new regulations and new products.
- Evaluate potential financial impact due to new regulations and new product design.
- Propose valuation methodology or solutions.
- To propose assumptions used for IFRS/USGAAP closure.
- To provide financial impact analysis due to assumption changes.
- Forward looking financial analysis and to identify valuation risks and opportunities.
- Anticipate and understand technical issues and financial results.
- Frequent communications of issues to Head and senior management.
- Regular communication with staffs to monitor progress, to provide feedback, to understand problems or issues, and to provide solutions.
- To re-organize structure or responsibilities if needed to improve its efficiency and staff development.



QUALIFICATIONS:

- ASA, near FSA, FIAJ or equivalent preferred.
- English language skill is a must and Japanese is a plus.
- 5+ years life insurance actuarial experience with 3+ in USGAAP valuation experience.
- Forward looking, creative, and good understanding of financial drivers.
- Flexible and open to change/challenge.
- Good balance of technical and management skills.
